Child protection

The fundamental responsibility of St Augustine of Canterbury preschool is to ensure the welfare and protection of all children in our care. All staff are subject to background checks, including references from previous employers and clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau. Every Staff member is Paediatric first aid trained. 

Behaviour Management

At St Augustine of Canterbury Preschool behaviour management is about helping young children learn self-control and positive social skills through clear expectations, routines, positive reinforcement and calm guidance. Staff encourage self-discipline, consideration and respect for others to help children develop a positive attitude for the future and promote their independence.
